Liner Notes
When I was young, one of my favourite times of the year was Christmas. The smell of pine from the Christmas tree, the twinkle of the lights and the sparkle of the wrapping paper and decorations still bring those Christmas Memories to life. Many of us have similar fond remembrances of this special time of year.
For some who have lost a loved one, Christmas can sometimes also bring memories that are a little sad. But what can always bring a smile is hearing the music that is so closely related to the season. Whether it is a fun, jaunty tune or a heartfelt Carol, just hearing the melody brings you to your childhood and the magical spirit of Christmas.
Christmas Memories includes some of those perennial favourites, some not-so-common but very catchy seasonal songs and always a favourite, some inspirational stories. My Mom, Carolyn, does an excellent job telling the story and accompanying herself on "A Visit from Saint Nicholas." And our friend Janet Martin composed a poem "In Search of Christmas Day" that offers a different slant on the true meaning of the Season.
Listen to the words, tap your toes, put a smile on your face and let the Joy of the Christmas Spirit sing in your heart.
